Nate Carter, CEO
Nate oversees deal structuring, operations, and marketing at Agilis. His diverse finance background including investment and commercial banking as well as institutional asset management provides Agilis with structure creativity and flexibility for our lessee clients.
Prior to founding Agilis, Nate was President and Chief Investment Officer of Lakefront Capital Investors, Inc., an institutional asset management firm. Prior to that position, Nate was a member of the investment banking team at Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc. in New York where he specialized in corporate finance and mergers and acquisition. Nate also spent several years with the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, first as a credit analyst and later as a corporate lending officer. Nate also worked with Citicorp in New York in its Leveraged Finance Group. He holds a BA in English Literature from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
At Lakefront, Nate oversaw all aspects of the firm including research, stock selection, trading, and marketing. Lakefront’s clients included Eaton Corporation, Ohio Edison (First Energy), SBC Communications, the Morehouse College Endowment, the Texas Permanent School Fund, the Ohio Police and Firemen’s Pension Fund, and the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, among others. Under Nate’s leadership, the firm also founded and sub-advised the Victory-Lakefront Mutual Fund with the money management division of KeyCorp.
At Drexel, Nate focused on traditional corporate finance including common and preferred stock offerings, exchange offers and restructurings, debt underwriting, leveraged buyouts and mergers and acquisitions. At Chase, Nate was a member of the Corporate Banking Division where he specialized in the automotive and trucking industries. As a lending officer, he was responsible for providing various domestic and international credit facilities to automobile and truck manufacturers and related original equipment manufacturers. Nate provided these companies with various banking products including short and long term loans, lease financing, cash management, etc. Nate also worked with Citicorp in the bank’s leveraged buyout group where he participated in the provision of senior financing for various LBO transactions.
